My music video is fairly relevant as now most music videos have some sort of dancing in them. The track I chose (Slam – Bow Wow & Omarion Featuring Chris Brown) was relevant to the dancing in my video because of the singers in the track, Chris Brown and Omarion are notorious for dancing in there music videos. I would not say my music video was majorly relevant as there was only one type of angle and shots like you see in many other music videos that have dancing in them but the sort of dancing that was portrayed is very relevant to most R&B, Rap and Hip Hop music videos.
My music video is similar to various videos the ending was inspired by Marques Houston – That Girl music video the beginning was more associated with Rap was by the Westside Connection– The Streets music video, as a certain type of dance was show called the Crip Walk. Probably the only thing that my music video that there is not any scantily clad women with the dancers.
The reaction was positive as the various dances that was shown in the my music video is relevant and is still shown today in various videos and have appeared with big names in music were people have seen Snoop Dogg perform the Crip Walk and people like Omarion and Chris Brown perform some of the break dancing that was also appeared in my music video. Some of the audience understood how the track went the type of music video I was trying to portray and some others didn’t quite understand but said that it was a shame that it was not long enough as I had ran out of shots to use. I think that most the audience that understood has watched many other music videos with artists appearing in them.
